The Centre

Transforming current concepts of child care, this three-level, architecturally designed building blends in well with the trendy neighbourhood, while maintaining an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming, stimulating and safe.

Our early learning centre includes dynamic first-class learning spaces perfectly suited to the Montessori and Emergent education curriculums; as well as the many Extra-Curricular Programs Habitat Early Learning offers. Attention has also been paid to the selection of building finishes to enhance the aesthetic value of the environment and evoke curiosity as a provocation for learning.

Habitat Early Learning State-of-the-art Centre

Five playgrounds encourage the development of motor abilities – challenging young children to crawl, walk, climb and explore in a safe environment that features natural elements such as water, rocks, mud and sand. Ample shade has also been provided to increase the opportunities for active learning, both indoors and outdoors.

As one of the most forward-thinking early learning centres in Brisbane, the building also features a private nursing space, office, doctors consulting room and function areas for the convenience of parents and academic staff.

Regardless of whether you work from home or in Brisbane City, the undercover carpark and main entrance is conveniently located to allow safe and sheltered drop-off/pick-up points.

Montessori

Montessori Brisbane Daycare

Habitat Early Learning is the first premium Brisbane based service to offer Montessori education.

The prepared, spacious, airy and naturally lit studios reflect order, beauty and simplicity and are set up to allow the child’s growing need for active and independent learning and development.

The Montessori philosophy focuses on the education of the whole child. Each individual is viewed as a child of their time, place and culture via a holistic approach. The development of the mind (intellectual), the body (physical) and the spirit (emotional/personality) is emphasised. Through the curriculum areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Culture the child transitions from unconscious to conscious learning processes, building respectful relationships with themselves, their peers and the world around them.

Emergent

Tailored Curriculum Options At Our Nundah Childcare Centre Brisbane

The Habitat Early Learning Emergent education curriculum endeavours to build on children’s learning and development, and provoke new interests and opportunities that challenge and extend children’s understandings and ideas about the world.

The planned curriculum aligns with key elements of the approved learning frameworks, including the belonging, being and becoming, principles, practices and learning outcomes (Early Years Learning Framework), yet is flexible and responsive to the spontaneous and emerging interests of children and serves to seize key ‘teachable moments’.
